VNL 2026 Ottawa: Coach Symposium

This past weekend, Team Ontario hosted the VNL Coach Symposium in Ottawa, welcoming more than 100 coaches from across Canada for an exceptional weekend of learning, collaboration, and professional development. Coaches representing every province gathered to take part in a unique educational experience that combined both classroom-based learning and on-court sessions held directly on the Volleyball Nations League feature court. The opportunity to learn in a world-class environment while surrounded by fellow coaches from coast to coast made for an unforgettable experience.

The symposium featured an outstanding lineup of presenters from a variety of high-performance backgrounds. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from Canadian National Team coaches, Canadian university and college coaches, experienced club coaches, and international head coaches currently leading professional volleyball clubs and national team programs around the world. The diversity of perspectives provided valuable insights into athlete development, technical and tactical trends, leadership, and the evolving landscape of volleyball at every level.

Beyond the presentations and practical sessions, the symposium created a space for coaches to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships within the volleyball community. The energy throughout the weekend reflected a shared commitment to growing the game and continuing to raise the standard of coaching across the country. Team Ontario Volleyball extends its sincere gratitude to all presenters, participants, and organizers who made the event possible. Bringing together such an accomplished group of coaches in one setting was truly a surreal experience and a testament to the strength and passion of the Canadian volleyball community.
