Team Ontario INDOOR- Targeted support
The 2025 Indoor Targeted Support Program pilot aims to better understand the needs of Ontario’s top 15U–17U athletes and refine the support provided through the program. The goal is to develop resources and opportunities, including skill development, physical testing, and integrated support (nutrition, mental performance, and strength and conditioning), that prepare athletes for success at the national level. In 2025, Team Ontario will be connecting with athletes in person and virtually to understand and evaluate athlete’s needs for targeted support to prepare for a Targeted Support program launch in 2026.
2025 Pilot Program Information
Boys
Select male athletes identified through 2025 Team Ontario programs will be participating in an invite-only in-person development day on December 6th at Sheridan College. The session will include on-court skill work with Team Ontario coaches, physical testing, and performance support activities. The goals of this training day are to understand the needs of Team Ontario athletes and what kind of targeted support could help their own personal athlete development.
Girls
Due to OVA tournament schedules and other GTA volleyball events, a girls’ in-person pilot development day will not be held alongside the boys. Instead, athletes involved in 2025 Team Ontario and National Team programs are invited to complete an Expression of Interest Questionnaire. Their input will help shape the future of the Targeted Support Program and guide the targeted support opportunities offered in 2026.
